Akkuma baalabbaatota Habashoota biroo, Amhaa Iyyaasuus, lafa lolaan qaqbate hunda irratti katamaa (military outpost) fi bataskaana (churches) dhaabuu itti fufe. Naannoleen kun: Ifat, Ankober, Manz fi Marabete maqaa “Showa” jalatti haa galan malee, Asfa Wasan, hamma illee taanaan, maqaa Showatiin  iddoo tokkotti walitti qabee bulchuu hin dandeenye.

Showa Du’a Asfa Wasan Booda

Asfa Wasan bara 1808-tti du’e. Du’a isa  booda ilmi isaa, Wasan Saggad kan jedhamu “Ras” jedhamee, Ifat, Ankober, Manz fi Marabete maqa Showa-tiin walitti qabee bulchuu calqabe. Du’a Sahile Sellase Booda:  Showa, Minilik fi Ethiopia

Du’a Sahile Sellase booda (1813-1847), ilmi ilmaa isaa, Minilik Haiyle Melekot, bara 1886-tti, burqaa Finfinnee human qawween dhufee qabatee masaraa ijaarrate. Bara Nugus Minilik, Showan of guddisuu bira dabree, impaayera Toophiyaa ijaaruu danda’e. Minilik ammoo nugusa Showa ta’uu irra dabree “Ye Itiyoophiyaa Nuguse-Negest (Emperor of Ethiopia) jedhamee bara 1889-tti Finfinnee-tti muudame. Bara 1907 ti du’ee jedhama. TPLF's Regime Coercion Of Students Into Obliged Membership Training Is Morally And Politically Wrong; Intellectually Inadmissible!!

The current TPLF led authoritarian Ethiopian regime is doing what exactly the Derg's regime has on its final phase done by obliging students of higher institutions to be coerced into doing totally and utterly irrelevant trainings. The predecessor of the current has vanished immediately after it has taken such illogical actions, yet the current is hanging onto power adopting different tactics as it has recruited fake representatives from various nations of the country under the pretexts of representations which hasn’t existed in the past 23 years.  

Such action of the current TPLF's regime which chose to stay in power by terrorising and intimidating the subjects is simply ideological fornication and moral manipulation of future generation of the country; both actions potentially depriving the subjects' ability to maximise his/her potential to be an independent and free thinker with potential to be inventor and pioneer; ultimately good humane with sense of balanced judgements and social responsibilities. The coerced trainings of the students of higher institution by the current regime is a poisonous cocktail for the forward looking, tender brained youth of the country which potentially subjects them to be simple instruments of the system who don’t have minds of their own-if they became the subjects of such manipulations.   

Whether this is actually TPLF’s final phase but it is undoubtedly the tale-tale sign that the regime doesn’t comfortably stay on power for long time. It is a matter of time for this rotten regime to be dismantled from its very foundation with its filthy apparatuses. The question is whether an effective alliances could be forged between the oppressed various nations of the Empire to facilitate its inevitably final demise. Doing so isn’t impossible but challenging and demands a lot of dedicated work towards this end.

If any regime of given country does socially responsible activities; its subjects can negotiate their ways through by accommodating concerned leaders. If peoples’ needs are partially satisfied, peoples naturally accommodate any governmental authorities. However, if the peoples of given country are coerced into accepting something politically incorrect, logically and morally unacceptable for variety of reasons-and more essentially people are denied basic necessities; only force and military might don't resolve the underlying causes created by a political mismanagement of the system itself. History time and again affirms this.

In particular if the regime on power has got a constitution which states the rights and obligations of citizens in black and white; yet ignores respecting these by choosing to rather enforce its blockage by literally terrorising those who demand for it; doing so technically if there were an independent judiciary systems and the rule of law, such a regime could be automatically regarded as unlawful or illegal. Thus, such regime can’t survive for so long whatever the force the regime might adopt to silence its subjects.

The current TPLF dominated regime uses such constitution to stifle freedom of expression, assembly and association other than its own party. The various nations’ peoples of the empire are massacred, harassed, displaced from their lands, continually terrorised and made to feel utterly powerless by the actions of this very regime during its last 23 years tenure. This regime has got a constitution unequivocally guaranteeing various nations of the empire to unrestricted rights to self-governance, freedom of expression and assembly; in practice not only denies practicing these all rights but also for the first time it has amalgamated 56 nations of the south Ethiopia into a pressure cooker with the aim of expropriating their rich resources; fully ditching the concept of its Ethnic federalism into deeper ocean.

The current coerced trainings of higher institutions students seems to be the final gasp of the regime to stay on power by recruiting fresh bloods to its filthy and undemocratic establishments. Whether it works for this morally bankrupt, politically inapt and socially unjustifiable regime whose leaders and messengers defiantly massacre and terrorise citizens with impunity, will time tells. Besides, the regime has indeed coerced the students into such hitherto unknown kind of coerced, sexed up political ideology trainings with pure aim of brainwashing the future generation of the country to make them the puppets of extremely bankrupt regime whose legitimacy has been significantly diminished.

As we all saw what the current regime has done to individual and the whole peoples of the country, what kind of futurity do we expected if these new generations are bewitched into accepting the poisonous agendas inoculated by the TPLF’s regime with undemocratic, criminal, repressive and morally corrupt ideologies?     

What is the reason for keeping their thread on? Why the regime whose credibility has gone to zero is allowed to continually dehumanise and depersonalise us all under various pretexts? Can we all afford a kind of systematic slavery, deliberately induced poverty, imprisonments of 100,000s of innocent civilians who have done nothing other than demanding their fundamental rights written in the constitution of this very regime? I would leave the reader to ponder with the following questions.  

Can we see the way out of such mess in short period of time? If yes how? And if not why?

Oromo are always willing to adopt children. For the region Oromo families of olden days were like convents in western countries where unwanted children were dropped. They make no difference between children they begot or adopted from any race or caste. Fertility is considered a blessing of Waaq through the Ayyaanaa “Ateetee”. One who is barren prays Ateetee for fertility while those that are bestowed with children praise Waaq through her. The birth of a child brings special joy to the family and society and sympathy to the childless. Being barren, miscarriages etc. are birth control methods of Nature among other things. People used to abstain from sexual activities when they are not ready for a child. A forced curbing of fertility by the powerful and its allies was unknown to them. At present Oromo nation’s population is under threat of dwindling by epidemic, AIDS, malaria, natural calamity, famine, common deceases, etc. Majority Oromo believe that the Creator gives and denies off springs and no one should interfere with his work. But modern societies are worried about the possible overpopulation that available land and means of subsistence may not be able to support. For that reason they suggest different methods of birth control like abstinence, rhythm and barrier methods. India was the second populous country in the world. It will be remembered that the sterilization policy of Indira Gandhi said to have been directed against poor men and political opponents created great uproar and her ensuing downfall. On the other hand populations of highly developed countries have gone down below zero growth rates with only very few in what is called replacement fertility rate (women producing babies enough to sustain population levels). So far we cannot say for sure if there are sinister motives to balance race and class behind s world family planning policy of developed countries. But we have serious doubts about those of Ethiopia. The Ethiopian Empire has always been controlled by ruthless dictators. They had used different methods to reduce population of their colonies, the greater part of which is Oromiyaa. The present government is no different. It has tried to reduce Oromo population by commission and omission against its own laws. It has engaged intentionally in illegal killings and dislocations to a level of genocide. It has exposed Oromo recruits to its army to danger by driving them over mine fields during its senseless wars. The Oromo were mobilized without their will or lulled by remuneration to go and die in masse. Several have died in famine stricken areas of Oromiyaa being denied timely attention. Oromo dislocated from their homestead in urban and rural centers had been thrown to the streets in their own country after being robbed all they had. Their water and soil is poisoned affecting their s and their animal’s wellbeing. It has made it impossible for Oromo youth to get jobs in their own capital making knowledge of Amharic criteria for competing. I t has denied several Oromo youth access to learning in their own language by not making public schools available in capital of Oromiyaa. It has come for three decades considering the Oromo nation as its number one enemy that has to be destroyed or reduced to its level. The Oromo are fighting for their survival and freedom from illegal alien occupation. The occupier on its part is fighting to continue its domination. Therefore all policies that it makes are meant to help it towards that end. Population growth policy drawn by it cannot be different. Its crude means of reducing population increase, killing, dislocation, imprisoning, chasing out of the country and castrating by torturing did not satisfy it. Therefore it is inviting foreign governments and companies to enhance its capability in diminishing Oromo number to the smallest possible size. It was announced that South Korea is going to assist Ethiopian Empire in controlling population of its colonies. (English chosun.com 07/11/140). According to CIA World Factbook 2013 population growth rate in Ethiopia and S. Korea are 2.89 and 0.16 respectively. As a result of its family planning policy South Korea’s birth rate dropped from 6.1 in 1960 to the present level. South Korea is going to transfer experience it gained from that policy which included sterilization. It is promising to help Ethiopia to reduce “its population” with input of W2.2 billion (US$ 2157386?) and expertise. From its population size the target could be no other than Oromiyaa. One of the reasons for Habashaa elites for fearing democracy is the largeness of Oromo in numbers. Family planning may help leveling that. Oromiyaa is under occupation. Let alone an occupying power it is difficult for anyone to trust even own elected government on personal and family matter like birth control. When the nation is under threat of being wiped out by abuse of power and intentional policy of passing in silence famine, AIDS, malaria and other deceases, it would be unwise for anyone to talk of birth control in Oromiyaa. Over and above that they are losing big chunk of their population as a result of being forced to take part in wars that do not concern them. The collaboration of South Korea in such unethical colonial project will be more harmful than good. There was a family planning office in Finfinnee since the time of the Emperor. They had been teaching mothers about methods like abstinence and rhythm technics. They had also made them aware of barriers and other contraceptives. There must be another method that required foreign expertise. Sterilization is a method in which South Korea’s has experiences which Ethiopian family planning might have not used so far. Therefore it is the obligation of all Oromo nationals to be on guard against possible harm this project might entail. Once the regime gets the knowhow there is no guarantee that it would not use it on prisoners which are more than 90% Oromo. No one should be allowed brainwashing Oromo fertile age grade poor or rich without free will of the target group. What Oromo need is proper education that could give them access to necessary information not birth control. From what is observed throughout the world educated and urbanized family have limited off springs. The traditional desire of having children for family name and sustenance is no more valid for them. Highly developed technology has made children more of a burden for struggling working men and women. As a result population is going down without needing government involvement. It has gone down to worrisome level of below 0% and even zero minus. Therefore, concentrating on educating the population and decreasing infant mortality works better than crippling sterilization. Trusting the Ethiopian regime on population policy will not be less dangerous than trusting Hitler for the same purpose. What everyone should understand is that the Ethiopian regime does not represent Oromo interest. Any help it gets will be used to crush the Oromo physically and psychologically. Overall, population growth rate of the Empire is not that alarming. Taking the given statistic as driven from reliable source, it ranks 14th out of 233 countries. Oromiyaa is vulnerable to so many manmade and natural calamities that reduce its population. To expose it for more of those calamities by raising destructive skill for the regime would amount to encouraging it for more genocide than it is already committing. In a situation where sovereignty is contested to side one against the other will not be fair by any standard. Majority of Oromo are having no access to information to choose between options. In principle one may not be opposed to ethical family planning for it helps not only population balance but also for the development of healthy generation. However those that receive have to be aware of the consequences and willing to adopt it. Even then aliens should not decide for the Oromo. Therefore it is incumbent up on all Oromo knowledgeable in particular Oromo health experts and Oromo free media to collaborate in disseminating the concept of family planning best fitting them. They have also to be able to rally human right advocates for the purpose. The people should be made aware of the possible existence of malpractice around regimes family planning. This is another danger added to the danger already looming over the occupied nation. Let us say save us from every thing evil!! Ogaden National Liberation Front or ONLF is celebrating its 30th anniversary around the globe. Founded in August 15, 1984, the group has been campaigning to realize the ambitions of the Ogaden people for independence from Ethiopia. The Ogaden territory, is mainly inhabited by 7-8 million ethnic Somalis, a territory which still suffer the betrayal of Italian-British colonial rule after British handed over Ethiopia in 1954 without its population’s consent or the treaty between the British imperial rule and the Somali chiefs and elders.
ONLF was formed after the defeat of Somalia in the Ogaden war (1977-1978). The group were diplomatically active in several countries, period between early 1980s to 1990s before Tigray people’s Liberation Front (TPLF) toppled the former President of Ethiopia, the socialist military Dictator , Colonel MengistuHailemariam, with the help of Eritrean revolution, or Eritrean People’s Liberation Front.

In the 1991, ONLF established its offices throughout Ogaden territory for the first time since its formation as a political party, but were forced out by the TPLF after Ogaden’s democratically ever elected parliament in the Somali region’s history that survived only 2 years’ service in Ogaden , had overwhelmingly voted for referendum according to the Transitional Charter of the time.
Ethiopia, which is one of the most brutal and violent nation in Africa passed a law to unearth ONLF, by killing the mayors of the provinces and districts, assassinating religious scholars and prominent elders, arresting and detaining members of MPs. They sacked the first legitimate Somali Ogaden president and his vice-president and put them in jail.Then Ethiopia began to mull over the possibility of capturing highly positioned in the ONLF and its former chairman, Ibrahim AbdallahMah, which at least 100 civilians that provided his defense line martyred in Werder, Ogaden region in 1994.
ONLF which had no appetite at that time to go war with Ethiopia,had no other option rather than fighting to the last.

“Ethiopia’s Transitional Charter which was agreed by all nationalities stated that any nationality under its rule can ask for referendum up to succession from it, and that gave us hope.But when we demanded our rights to self-determination, the current Ethiopian regime declared a war on us, and forced us to enter with her a bloody war, which was not at our agenda. They knew the situation of our people after the collapse of Somalia and that we had limited guns and ammunition as well as resources, except the will to pursue our God-given rights to decide our fate”, reads ONLF chairman’s speech, Mohammed Omar Osman.
Despite being unprepared to counter the Ethiopian aggression on ONLF members, the group shut down all its offices when they understand the TPLF assassination plan and left behind them squarely to prepare for a longer, bloodier, and harder war with Ethiopian aggressive troops stationed in Ogaden region. A war of liberation that continues up to the present day.
“We were brooding about two options within a short time period : To surrender, which is to recede and vacuous or to resist the Ethiopian sordid ambition. We selected the latter, which was at that time the toughest decision ONLF has ever made”, Said Mr. Osman in his speech.
ONLF worked to establish their liberation army and organize a die-hard supporters that mobilize the Ogaden communities inside and outside of the Ogaden region.Within a short period ONLF forces engaged with the Ethiopian army and were triumphant in most battlefields, largely because our boys were fighting for a just cause and were well trained. ONLF are fighting in their country, they know the terrain and the people supported their cause whole heartedly.
“We were strengthened by our people’s dedication to their just cause. They are encouraging us to continue the armed struggle till Ogaden is liberated from Ethiopian occupation. They are supporting us to strengthen our fighting capabilities. We work inside and outside to mobilize, strengthen, and enhance our people. We are totally dependent on self-enrichment for the members within our society. And with God’s help we will pursue our policy based on self-reliance”. The Chairman said in his speech.
ONLF’s strong correlation with Ogaden population unnerved several times the Ethiopian regime. They assembled the elders and informed them to stop supporting ONLF and to bring out their sons who are in the ONLF military service or to meet the consequences. But their intimidation and punishment threat do not deter as more and more people are joining the Ogaden National Liberation Army (ONLA) voluntarily.
The Chairman mentioned that, Ethiopia by seeking help from existing traditional institutions in Ogaden region called for the first peace talks in 1998 which was held inside Ogaden. But Ethiopia’s deceitful plan was to persuade the negotiating team for ONLF to disarm itself, if they refuse to kill the delegation.
“When Ethiopia could not persuade us to disarm ourselves without meeting our demands, by telling us that we are part of Ethiopia and are not different from the rest of Ethiopia, they did not kill the negotiators only, but also undertook a policy of killing our officials, members and prominent persons from the entire society. It was the hardest time ONLF passed through and we succeeded to overcome.”
The Chairman’s speech was long. He mentioned present situation of the Front inside and outside. He also mentioned the present requirements to continue the struggle and how to thwart the Ethiopian Plots. He concluded by demanding from the International world and those who admire liberty and Justice to intervene in part of stopping Ethiopia’s scorched- earth-policy towards Ogaden people.
Finally, The Chairman called upon the International community to look for the Ogaden issue and ask Ethiopia to haltthe Ogaden genocide which is one of the worse in the World that is not covered. There are 100,000 refugees and displaced peoplein neighboring refugee camps and in Ogaden,but unfortunately, the mainstream media and diplomats won’t touch the story.
The chairman warned the oil corporations to get involved in Ogaden genocide by supporting Ethiopian government ethnic cleansing and terror to get their hands on the sizable oil reserves. ONLF and the Ogaden will not permit this till they exercise their God-given rights.
The chairman made clear that Ethiopia is not ready for comprehensive talks to end this conflict peacefully and will never succeed to end through war and genocide.

“ONLF’s door is open and ready to sit with Ethiopian government to resume the peace-talks in order to achieve peace, justice and stability in the Horn of Africa and to quit the blood-shed, therefore, we again call upon the international Community to do its responsibility for doing something about the Ethiopia’s problems in Ogaden region.”
