Ethiopians return home to uncertain future

Saudi Arabia has deported nearly 150,000 Ethiopians in an attempt to create more jobs for locals

More than 150,000 Ethiopians have been deported from Saudi Arabia in the past two months as part of a crackdown on migrant workers aimed at creating more jobs for locals.

They went to Saudi Arabia to escape poverty at home, but many returned with little money and claimed they were abused by Saudi authorities.

Nearly 60 children remain at a transit centre, waiting for their parents to be located. The UN and the Ethiopian government want to ensure that these children are returned to safe homes.
Al Jazeera's Mohammed Adow reports from Addis Ababa.
